Several fan theories surround this character, usually concluding that Josh is either a descendant of Baron Von Evilstein, or the baron himself enjoying an unnaturally long life!Way back on Nov. 5, 2015, one of the developers at BMG, Zeke Sparkes (a.k.a. Dinohedron), was a guest at the GlitchFeed podcast. During this 78-minute episode, Zeke and the hosts talked about a variety of Brawlhalla-related topics, including the processes behind designing characters, skins, mechanics, game modes, and even lore. At the 28-minute mark of this video, Zeke hinted at the possibility of Josh and the baron being the same person (which would confirm the latter and more interesting of the two theories), but never went beyond strongly hinting this. Therefore, the same-Von-Evilstein theory is quite likely, but not as yet confirmed by official sources.
