RainCloud

Connections

  • A modeling agency that soon controlled all neural research, founded "on the side" by Val

Context

What is up with seemingly innocuous companies (like Meyers Baby Food Corporation) suddenly becoming powerful corporations with monopolies in unrelated, very-high-stakes industries?

In any case, RainCloud started as a modeling agency, which is a company that represents fashion models who work in the fashion industry. Basically, the first RainCloud employees helped fashion models get good gigs and advocated for them, getting paid by commission. How did such a company end up having a monopoly on all neural research? I don't know, but it was surely Val's doing.
