Context

The word "governcorp," according to Urban Dictionary, is defined as "When the only thing Republicans and Democrats can agree on is the agenda set by corporations and the 1%." Indeed, a setting in which corporations run local or national policy/government is a common cyberpunk trope. Based on this, it can be assumed that GovernCorp in Brawlhalla is an over-arching governing body controlled by one or more massively powerful corporation or business.
