Lost World of Dinosaurs

Connections

  • Scarlet was on an expedition to the remote Andes searching for the source of the mysterious aether-flux, and discovered a Lost World of dinosaurs there; was betrayed by Baron von Evilstein soon after
  • Ten years after his disappearance, the Baron emerged from the Lost World at the head of a vast armada of airships and dinosaur-riding ape warriors.

Context

This is an obvious nod to the Jurassic Park/World films, as well as the general trope in fiction that the rain forests and jungles of Central and/or South America still contain dinosaurs. The Jurrasic Park/World films take place on the fictional island of Isla Nublar, which is located off the western coast of Costa Rica.

In the Brawlhalla world, there must be something special about the Andes region, because there was this Lost World of dinosaurs, plus a race of intelligent, dinosaur-riding apes (probably the Primordials, who haven't appeared in the lore since the time of Gnash). On top of all that, there was this mysterious aether-flux. What happened here? Some sort of vibranium meteor or something?
