Context

This Professor Price could be modeled after a classic scholarly villain from an Indiana Jones film or something. On the other hand, I managed to find a "Professor Price" from that time period who studied Egyptology (among other antiquated civilizations).

Meet Dr. Ira M. Price (1856–1939), a founding faculty member of the University of Chicago who researched ancient languages and literature. He served as a professor there from 1892 to 1925, well within Mirage's time range. However, I doubt he was the nefarious sort, as an active member of a Christian (Baptist) community, and the fact that his friends and colleagues were "greatly saddened" by the news of his death.

Of course, any resemblence or connection between Mirage's nemesis and the real Dr. Price is very likely simply coincidental, especially since the only similarities are the time, name, and specialization. The surname Price has been around for a long time, so there was bound to be a happenstance match at some point.
