Context
The sphinx is a mythical creature with a human head and a lion body. It is not unique to Egypt, though. There is a well-known Greek story about a riddle given by a sphinx to Oedipus. There are even sphinx legends in other parts of the world as well, but the ones from Egyptian and Greek mythology are the most well known. The actual size of a living sphinx varies depending on the legend, anywhere from normal lion size to, well, the 40-ft. tall variety. The Great Sphinx of Giza sculpture is 240 ft., however.
It is a bit of a mystery why the Sphinx is missing its nose (and its beard). This page on a website owned by The Smithsonian explains this in more detail. In the Brawlhalla version of history, there can be no doubt that it was Caspian, possibly with the help of some hammering and chiseling.
Not sure what "sand-weaving" is, but I did discover an Egyptian martial art called Tahtib., a stick-fighting martial art (now more of a dance), demonstrated in videos like this one.
