Context
A "pit fiend" is often a general term for a type of devil. Settings like
Dungeons and Dragons have specific stats and characteristics for what a Pit Fiend is, but this can vary depending on what game you're playing or what work of fiction you're reading or watching. Suffice it to say that any pit fiend would be some sort of powerful devil from the "pit" of the Nine Hells or
Hades, or someplace similar. The pit fiend that Fait dealt with was invulnerable, which shows that it was especially powerful...except at its weak spot.
